Those two Archery targets inthe photo are not made by the same person , not even the same countries, not even the same continents.
I recently learnt the impact of supporting local suppliers as compared to Imports. with an experiment with our Archery product at Yarutso Adventure .
One Archery Target was imported from China , The other was wieved in Harare at Belgravia Shops.
I asked myself , do I really need to import these nets , I took the sample from China and asked the guys at Belgravia if they can make it, they responsed in 2hours this will be done , they even said we can make those bows too .
The net effect is that I have stopped importing Archery nets from China reducing unnecessary Forex outflow , the net effect is that a Zimbabwean can generate an income and spend it with their family , the net effect is that local Tourism is flowing well with inclusion of local value chains .
Small as it may. This a proud moment for me in my 5 year Entrepreneurual journey.
